Album Notes
With a wink and a nod towards the imperfect moments that make up modern life, Peter Galperin's new CD "Perfect World Today" is a whimsical collection of slightly-skewed, adult-friendly songs combining Brazilian beats, alt-rock guitar, jazz piano, trombone, accordion and mandolin exploring topics such as cartoon characters, coffee, global warming, vacations, sexual anxiety, and murder.

Phil Berent

Great First Album
A bright new voice drawing on influences from influences as wide as Brazilian guitar sounds, and English brass bands - and lyrics commenting with perceptive humor on the pleasures and difficulties of everyday life from, sex toys to the impossibility of finding a good cup of coffee. Highly recommended.

Dan Strachman

A great piece of work
The album works from start to finish, combining great rhythms and lyrics into a sound that anyone who likes Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello and Graham Parker with enjoy.

Daniel Kadin

listen . . . . . . and . . . . just let it all go . .
This album feels like you are having a very sophisticated, illicit affair with a Brazilian woman of very dubious origins. It's incredible to listen to in the morning, with a cup of coffee, with the feeling of a great day ahead.
