I Can't Handle Change

by Roar

"I Can't Handle Change" is a concept album based on the relationship and personalities of Phil and Ronnie Spector. There are a lot of vocal harmonies and complex arrangements. It is the perfect art-pop record for someone with musical A.D.D.
Genre: Pop: Psychedelic Pop

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This quirky record is heavily focused on melody and arrangement. There are lots of 60s-inspired sounds and hooks without sacrificing modern influence and aural quality. The arrangements are similar to bands like The Flaming Lips, Grandaddy, ELO and Of Montreal with melodies similar to Elliott Smith, Jon Brion, Brian Wilson and the Shangri-Las. The songs move quickly and change parts with the drop of a hat.

My favorite album this year.
After seeing Roar open for the Spinto Band a few weeks ago, I knew I had to buy this album. And I'm glad I did. For three weeks I've listened to this album almost every day, and the only complaint I have is that it left me wanting more, but I think that's a good thing. A fantastic record, from and equally fantastic band. Buy this!!
