Album Notes
Redeye Empire has released 3 albums to date... Redeye, The Diary of Everett Miley and their latest release Sea To Sky! The band has emerged as an original and great rock/reggae/ska band with many influences of their own, creating a unique, refreshing blend of the genres. Mellow, rocking, laid back, rock, ska, reggae, acoustic infused tunes fill this album and build on the success and musicianship of the previous 2 albums. "Sea to Sky" is the breakthrough new release for this incredibly talented 5 piece band from Vancouver, BC!

Redeye Empire succeeds in a difficult genre
The reggae/ska/rock genre can be a difficult style to pull off successfully. It's very easy to sound like a lot of the other acts out there but Redeye succeeds in melding the sounds without sounding like they're just bitin' some other bands style. I think the drummer (Ryan Davis) and guitarist (Andre Arsenault) have a lot to do with their unique sound. Reggae drumming can be pretty predictable but Davis doesn't fall prey to that - he's not flashy but keeps a cool beat without sounding like he's just playing from an internal reggae track in his mind. Andre rips on guitar, something that's sorely missing in a lot of today's stripped down sound. It's refreshing to hear a guitarist using all the frets and all the strings, and doing it well. Mike Redmond and Gabe Davis round out the band with that cool ska/reggae vocal style. Live, these two guys are the powerhouse of the band, with lots of great energy. Which brings me to my final point, if they're in your town, see em'. I got the chance to watch them open for G. Love and they have their sh** together. In sum, get the CD, you won't be disappointed and see 'em live if they are in a town near you.
