ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This all mountain dulcimer instrumental collection features 11 newly recorded pieces plus 6 from previous albums. The playing style is mostly melodic finger-picking which imparts a flowing beauty to the mountain dulcimer. Sam may be best known for his hammer dulcimer playing, but has performed on mountain dulcimer in his trademark finger style since the 1960's. Tunes range from beautiful slow airs to lively reels, and Christmas tunes to familiar old time songs.
