ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Recorded in February 2004, this is a well-produced presentation featuring the Ponceña big band led by maestro Papo Lucca. With singers Héctor "Pichie" Pérez, Fernando "Wito" Colon, José Alberto "El Canario", and Danny Davila . Also includes guests Antonio Cabán Vale "El Topo" and the venerable Johnny Pacheco who sings and plays flute on "Sonero." There's a simply amazing cuatro solo by Maribel Delgado and a wonderful appearance by Roberto Roena who takes part, with Domingo "Tito" Gutierrez, in the battle of the cowbells. It's pretty cool. A fine show not to be missed.
