The song "Beautiful Day" was originally written and recorded by 'The American DJ': native New Yorker Spider Harrison back in the day while he was afternoon personality and program director at WTLC-FM, Indianapolis. Since then the song has become a worldwide underground 'rock funk cult' hit and was licensed and re-released by STONES THROW RECORDS on their "The Funky 16 Corners Compilation CD (STH2038 - www.stonesthrow.com). Today, thanks to dj and record executive Eothen Alapatt, Nate Nelson, Jason Nable and all the associates at Stones Throw Records, the original release from 1972 lives on and was featured in the HBO television show, "Entourage" in the fall of 2009.
