Album Notes
Written, produced, and performed by Lord Alfred Eggplant on a small planet three windows from the sun. Recorded on analog tape to capture a distant sound from decades past. Maracas, guitars, drums, tape loops, pianos, and horse feathers dominate this remarkably redundant soundscape. Obtuse yet superfluously restrained, this soundtrack will leave you begging for more spaghetti and a minatory pratincole.
Lord Alfred Eggplant was born in a garden of lush peppers and tomatoes. He spent much of his early youth writing poetry and assembling impromptu council meetings for the local Winemaker's Union ( # 343). Alfred developed a passion for music before birth because most of his ancestors were musicians. After studying the piano for years, Lord Al moved on to other percussive instruments including the steamed envelope. He formed a band with himself and often quits it. Lord Alfred Eggplant hopes you enjoy this release, yet more importantly, he hopes you enjoy your life.

Lord Alfreds Editor & Chief

This album is missing one of the greatest songs lord al ever wrote... "WATER"!!!

Vanilla Lobsters from Mars!!
"Vanilla Lobsters from Mars" has stuck out in my memory since childhood. Around 8-9 years old I was reading Circus because I was a badass little kid, and I wrote back to an ad from the end of the magazine that had offered to send a package of free stuff. Among the weird items (all of which I forget) was a cassette tape. I have literally been looking for this track since the late 90s when I moved and lost my copy of Pawn - Opulence.

Of all the tracks on that tape, the only one I gave a crap about was Vanilla Lobsters from Mars. It was eerie... like being trapped in a sci fi movie or being pursued by aliens that want to cook humans. Or cook for humans. Or cook forty humans.

Thank you so much for finally making this available again.
