Album Notes
Join me on a musical journey through Face to Face as I use the saxophone to lead you into God's presence. These are fresh arrangements of some of my favorite classic worship choruses and hymns as well as a few original compositions. I love taking these great songs and placing them in different settings. "Shout to the Lord" kicks off the CD and leads into a grooving version of "I Worship You Almighty God." If you haven't heard "Holy, Holy, Holy" as a samba, you are in for a treat. "There Is a Fountain" is a Spirit-filled jam from beginning to end. Grammy winner Arthur Dyer does Fred Hammond proud with his version of "Keeping My Mind." "Bread of Life," inspired by a verse in the book of John, is still one of my favorite songs, and Arlington Jones delivers a classic piano solo in the middle. The end of the CD is worshipful and introspective. Joe Ninowski wrote a beautiful piece entitled "Surrender" followed by a duet with Arlington Jones on "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." The final piece is "Everlasting Life" dedicated to my grandparents and a very special uncle that I lost recently. I played this piece as a solo piano composition with no saxophone to provide a very ethereal ending to our musical journey. Enjoy the music and God bless you and give you peace and joy as you listen.
