ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Flamenco Latino" is the 5th album by guitarist Tony Ybarra.

“Flamenco Latino” consists of 12 original pieces divided into 3 sections: Flamenco, Samba, and Latin Jazz.

This album showcases Tony’s versatility not only as a classical guitarist but as a jazz improviser and composer. “Flamenco Latino” is a modern approach to Flamenco, Brazilian Jazz, and Latin Jazz styles while maintaining authenticity. Tony is one of the rare guitarists who have been able to meet the demands of these art forms and create something that is new, fresh and genuine.

The album features the talents of percussionist Chalo Eduardo, Flamenco dancer Antoinette Lopez, saxophonist Andrew Martinez, bassist Randy Tico, flautist Katisse Buckingham, drummer Ed Smith, and percussionist Al Velasquez.
