ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
" I have seen the Goddess and she is Yiddish Princess!"
-Lorin Sklamberg, Grammy winning recording artist of The Klezmatics

Yiddish Princess stands feet firmly planted both in the folk poetry of Yiddish song and the enticing sounds of 80s and 90s rock music. Formed in 2008 in Brooklyn, the band has developed informed, unsentimental Yiddish music that is utterly new and exciting.

"Indeed, for all of the efforts to somehow make Jewishness seem cool, Yiddish Princess is one of the only acts whose Jewishness is both intrinsic and not at all self-serious."
- Ezra Glinter, The Arty Semite

Sarah Mina Gordon, voice; Michael Winograd, synths; Avi Fox-Rosen, Guitar; Yoshie Fruchter, Guitar; Ari Folman-Cohen, Bass; Chris Berry, Drums.
