Chrisr at CD Baby

With names like Alison Krauss, Emylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Patty Griffin, Marc Broussard, and Mary Chapin Carpenter gracing this acoustic compilation, it’d be tough for this album to go wrong. But thanks to some fine decision making on the part of this collection’s curator, the album has a cohesiveness and common thread running throughout. Each track (sung by different artists) beautifully supports the songs before and after it. Immerse yourself in these warm, folky sounds without suffering the whiplash effect that most compilations will give you.
