Cabin on 33 was my debut solo album. It was five years in the making. I was blessed to be able to take all of my favorite musicians from the Toledo area and blend them together with the vision I had for these songs. The experimentation with these brilliant artists created exactly what I had hoped. An unexpected trip down a road that feels new and exciting but with a subtle, comfortable feeling. The album drifts from country to jazz to folk to blues yet is tied together at its core and not defined by any one genre or recycled idea. It is a glimpse at a songwriters dream. An experiment in not what should be or what sells, but an experiment of what could be. An experiment with no inhibitions. A connection to a higher power or energy shared amongst friends and musicians with no agenda. No pressure to sell records or try to make it big. Just an honest picture of our lives and what we feel here in Toledo, Ohio.
