The story of Making Angels:

On a hot weekend in August Adrienne and Vincent Jones (Sarah McLachlan) recorded \"Making Angels\". The second track on the CD,\" Joy Is Within Reach\", was recorded with Mary Ancheta in Vancouver. Mary, after ribbing Adrienne for singing lyrics like \"tiny reindeer\", helped to finish the song and produced\" Joy\" along with Mark Lasezki.

Lyrics for Making Angels:

do you remember how it used to be
to lie on the floor by the light of the christmas tree
do you remember how it used to feel
when you knew reindeer could fly when you knew that santa was real

and the snow falling falling falling
everything else still
and the snow falling falling falling
on your window sill
and the snow glowing glowing
reflecting the moon through the dark
and the snow crunching underfoot
as we make our way through the park

making angels in the snow
sun goes down and the streetlights begin to glow
everyone\'s laughing
cheeks rosy red
driveway becomes a mountainside
garbage bag becomes a sled

and the snow falling falling falling
everything else still
and the snow falling falling falling
on your window sill
and the snow glowing glowing
refecting he moon through the dark
and the snow crunching underfoot
as we make our way through the park

do you remember, do you remember, do you remember how i used to
do you remember
grab your coat, don\'t forget your hat
come out, come out, come our for a walk with me

from Joy:

The Christmas train is running through the park
Tiny lights are shining through the dark
And the bells, and the bells, and the bells, and the bells, and the bells
and the bells, and the bells are ringing
You can hear , can you hear, you can hear, you can hear, can you hear
the children singing
Singing gloria, gloria , gloria, gloria

The carol ships are gliding by
Light reflecting on the water under a winter sky
And the bells, and the bells, and the bells, and the bells, and the bells
and the bells, and the bells are ringing
You can hear , can you hear, you can hear, you can hear, can you hear
the children singing
Singing gloria, gloria , gloria, gloria,
singing gloria, gloria, gloria, gloria
gloria, gloria, gloria

And it is true, it’s true, it never snows here
And there is no sign of those tiny reindeer
And it is true we can’t afford a thing
no need to deck the halls, forget the malls, let’s go caroling
Singing gloria, gloria , gloria, gloria
singing gloria, gloria, gloria, gloria
gloria, gloria, gloria

they’ve lit up the elm trees down on Beach
If you lie underneath and look up joy is within reach
