Affinití is what happens when a Rock or Pop song gets annihilated by three contemporary Goddesses in high heels and couture dresses. Soprano Emer Barry, violinist Mary McCague and harpist Aisling Ennis transform Rock and Pop songs into something that's not Rock or Pop or Classical or Celtic. Their sound has been described as 'sublime vocals and classic, pristine arrangements...' by Michael Londra. Liam Lawton says their music is 'a new and innovative sound that will stand the test of time'. Every track on the EP is a unique blend of harp, violin and voice which leaves the music quite exposed but also lends a vulnerability and intimacy that bigger productions sometimes lack.
Classical-Crossover.co.uk has given them 5 out of 5 stars for talent and interpretation. The website boasts hundreds of classical crossover artists from all over the world, yet they conclude that there are 'no other classical crossover artists like this' and ask the question, 'could Affinití be the revelation of 2012?'
Are they the revelation of 2012 and the success of 2013?! Listen and find out for yourself!
