ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Coming from the cultural hotspot São Paulo in Brazil, Afroelectro presents a fresh and contemporary blend of African and Brazilian music. Pulsating grooves and catchy riffs with influences that range from the music of Mali and Senegal to the traditional sounds of the Brazilian states of Pernambuco and Bahia result in a sonic experience that captures audiences immediately. Their first album was released in 2012 and features special guests Chico César from the northeastern state of Paraíba and Siba from Recife. The local styles of côco and embolada meet hip-hop, rock meets candomblé, the tradition joins the present. Afroelectro catalyzes all these influences to create their original and exciting music.
