Album Notes
Having worked as a musician, recording session player,
arranger, music teacher, vocal coach, songwriter, publisher and musical contractor, I have had the privilege of working with top names in the entertainment business and have accrued a number of credits worldwide for my work. I have always enjoyed music in all of its aspects and find great pleasure in performing, making and renewing acquaintances from all over the world. I have played on or arranged more than 5,000 recordings over the years. Some of these have been on independent labels while most have been major label releases. My work included finding ways to make small band music sound big, fat and full. My use of brass and reed instruments added to the success of many records and my arrangements have inspired a number of aspiring musicians over the years.
Ihave always sung vocals in support of many of the artists that I have had the privilege to work with, including demo leads for some of Motown Records artists, and many Doo-wop groups.
In this collection of songs spanning many genres, I am attempting to convey the many aspects of Love and its many musical flavors. From jazzy pop music to R&B as well as blues, Love has been treated instrumentally, vocally, and poetically, conveying all kinds of thoughts and emotions about the subject.
In the expression, “Love, About Love” , is the thought of how this subject is prevalent in everyday aspects of the lives of everyone in the world, including the down-hearted, broken-hearted, forlorn, love-struck, elated, cheerful, light-hearted, merry, jolly, carefree, and spirited individuals experiencing this phenomenon which is totally unique to human experience.
Please enjoy listening to the selections In this production and know that I am happy to share these thoughts with all music lovers world-wide.
