One of the finest writers on the jazz scene today, Alan Baylock's music has been called, "some of the best contemporary big-band writing ever."* Baylock currently holds the position of Chief Arranger for the renowned "Airmen of Note" jazz ensemble of the United States Air Force Band in Washington D.C. In addition, he is in demand as a freelance composer, arranger, instrumentalist, clinician, and adjudicator, and is the leader of the Alan Baylock Jazz Orchestra.

The Alan Baylock Jazz Orchestra's debut recording, "Two Seconds to Midnight," was released in October of 2003 on Seabreeze Records.
