Album Notes
Alan's 4th CD, Moonlight Everywhere, is his best yet. All 16 tracks are original and the songs range from the opening rocker, No Sitting Down, to the beautiful ballad, In The End. Early reviews rate Moonlight Everywhere his best album so far. It's a mix of pop, dance and instrumentals with Alan playing all the instruments and singing all the vocals. This new CD clearly showcases Alan as a songwriter to watch out for.

Here's what Alan says in the CD liner notes:

"There is a big difference between this album and my three previous ones....I wrote every song on this CD. Until now, I have always included a few cover versions from other artists mixed in with my own stuff but, for the first time ever, I've recorded a whole album of my own music."

"It normally takes me about a year to write, record, mix and master a CD," says Alan. "I have a full-time job so I only get into my studio at weekends and over holidays. I'm really pleased with the new album. It's got the tightest production and best mixing of all the stuff I've recorded so far. Throughout the making of this CD I was very fussy about the tracking, the arrangements and the vocals and I think it comes across in the music". He adds, "I'm hoping some of these songs attract the attention of established recording artists or music publishers."

There's another first on this new album - it was mastered by Jon Astley in London, England. Jon's clients include Pete Townsend, The Who, George Harrison, Tears For Fears and Led Zeppelin. Visit Jon's website to learn more:

Alan is Canadian but was born in London, England. Like a million other teenagers, he started playing acoustic guitar and singing Beatles songs when he was sixteen. He began writing songs around the same time and he has now written more than 300.

He started performing at solo gigs with just an acoustic guitar, then was a member of a folk trio for many years tackling 3-part harmonies on Eagles, Poco and Simon & Garfunkel songs. After taking a break to focus on his business career, and a young family, he played lead guitar and sang in a rock and roll gig band called "Platinum" for seven years. Platinum was in high demand for hotel dances, company events and weddings.

For more than 30 years, Alan has written and recorded music, starting on the kitchen table with a cheap condensor microphone and a portable cassette tape player. Over the years he has steadily upgraded his home studio equipment and he now records everything digitally on a MacPro using Logic 9 software. He plays acoustic and electric guitars, piano and keyboards but he rarely performs as he prefers to write and produce music. He writes in a wide variety of styles including pop, dance and instrumental (both dance club and theme music) and he is happy to "write to order" for any artist or production company looking for original, well-written songs or themes.

I really like it and you will like it
I didn't know the name of Alan Jarvis until now and a friend told to look him up. Alan, I am glad I did. I like your cd very much especially the first few tracks. Its also nice to hear good music with proper words instead of talking and rapping and there are some really good dancing songs here. For any one who doesnt know Alan Jarvis you should click on the songs and listen to them for a preview You will like it.

At last the new Cd
I bought the last Cd Feathers and I liked it so much I was waiting for the next one. This is even better than the last one and it has very good songs and its still only $5 for all of the tracks. When I listen to some of the other cd baby Cds which are $12 I don't think they are as good value compared to this one. I hope Alan sells a lots of Cds of his songs.

Wonderful Adult Contemporary CD
Talented singer/songwriter/musician, Alan Jarvis, releases another wonderful Adult Contemporary CD, “Moonlight Everywhere.” Jarvis is certainly a one man band as he not only wrote this entire alum, but he also sings and performs all instruments on it. Jarvis also mixes up the styles on his album as you will hear ballads, instrumentals, and even Pop/Dance grooves. Starting up the album, the song, “No Sitting Down,” catches your ears with its bouncy beat and fun loving lyrics. The instrumental, “Time Machine,” has a soothing melodic melody that flows with a magical tonality. The title track, “Moonlight Everywhere,” swirls with surgery vocals and charming lyrics. The instrumental, “Clouds,” is a beautiful ballad featuring Jarvis deftly playing the soft and delicate piano with an emotive ambiance while the angelic strings gently cascade around the sweet melody. If you are looking for easy listening music that is fresh and original, then you will thoroughly enjoy the fantastic songs on the album, “Moonlight Everywhere.”
