Very nice and relaxed!
This is no self-serving intellectual exercise or ambitious "who's faster than whom" as is sometimes found when an established fusion guitarist takes on this type of music. This is just wonderful music and almost minimalist in it's arrangement. Di Meola really lets the music breathe. Highly recommended.

Al at his most comfortable
The way the album moves and the music blends shows that Al is very
relaxed and feels free to make music as only he can.The production
and tone are superb.I feel that this is music free of deadlines, and very
natural. Not that any of the previous works feel forced, but sometimes the best is done when you are feeling totally free.

Dying is ok now !
Fabulous recording. Breathtaking, and after hearing it perhaps 20-30 times in almost as many days, I still can't get enough. Eagerly awaiting volume 2, and 3 and ... . :-)

This is a brilliant rendering of these equisite Piazzolla compositions. The music is so beautifully suited to the solo guitar, it is remarkable that it has taken such a long time for such an interpretation. The virtuosic playing and interpretative genius of De Meola pays great tribute to a great composer.
