This album was born in three hours. Almost every track is the first take. I got to know the piano player about 4 years ago and what we wanted originally do, was a project in Duo, since we played several times in this ensamble. After planning the songs, arrangiaments and so on, Max tells me: "This is your first CD, why don't we take a drummer and the do the recording in trio?". I told him: "nooo...we have to change everything, and I don't actually have a drummer..."; "dont' worry", he says to me, "I've got a drummer for you"! We did just one rehearsal with Filippo, and about ten days after we were at the study recording...for my first time and... at ten in the morning, more or less the time in wich almost every musician wakes up!
We started the recording session at eleven and at half past two, the drummer had loaded the drums and was in his car, ready to go.
In track 5 "romance addio", the drummer breaks a stick, the trio goes on, we do another take but we keep the first one.
In those three hours everyone had done everything; I was very very tired, the pianist, who suffers, low blood pressure, in the evening went to the first aid, the drummer...he is stainless!
It's been a beautiful experience and I wanted it to become a CD.
An album recorded on 27 April 2011, during Easter, the beatification of Pope Woityla, the marriage of Kate and William and my 10 years old daughter first prize in a literary contest.
