ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The cornet playing on this CD is quite simply sublime.
From the lowest to the highest notes played, each one is as pure and musical as the next.
This is a masterclass not only in cornet playing, but in the art of making music.
Alexis demonstrates mastery of the cornet on a whole new level.
Simply brilliant.

Roger Webster

"Rainbow by Alexis Demailly is one of my favourite CDs of the year. A beautiful range of colours is demonstrated in collaboration with the Paris Brass Band and strings from l'Orchestre National d'ile de France, while the varied repertoire allows Alexis to demonstrate great artistry and technique. Highlights for me are the famous Hora Staccato (which he makes sound deceptively easy) and his beautiful, lyrical cornet sound in the Glazounov. A wonderful player and a wonderful CD."

Peter Graham
