Album Notes
A demo in 2004 announced this melodic death metal band's arrival, and it was followed by a self-released album in 2007, and now they offer their official debut with 'Complex Shapes.' Any fan of this genre (Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom & Dark Tranquillity fans!) needs to hear this band, as Algol are very much helping to keep it viabile and vital. Wonderful cd, reminds me a lot of the best Arch Enemy-In Flames-Dark Tranquillity!
I recommend it for the great vocalists, and wonderful use of guitar melody coupled to many fast drum tempos. I loved it from the first listen. I think it's one of the best newcomer bands I have heard in the whole 2012.
