Album Notes
Alice Cohen has been active in the musical arena for decades as a songwriter, composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist. As a member of the 80's minimal synth-pop band the Vels, Cohen recorded several records for the Polygram/Mercury label and toured as opening act for the Psychedelic Furs. In the 90's, Cohen was a member of Die Monster Die, who recorded for Roadrunner Records. In recent years, Cohen's music has become more experimental, and has included work with the Brooklyn-based improv band, Castles. Cohen has also been involved in art world happenings by providing musical soundscapes for art performances at many NYC and Brooklyn galleries. Sky Flowers is her first solo release.

thank you
alice, thank you for putting out something new. i've missed your voice since the house of miracles days. more atmospheric, less dance insistent than the vels, but no less pleasurable. i suppose you could say this is the mature desoto. if possible can i ask for the vels two albums to be released on cd?
