Never Came Down

by Allister Bradley

A collection of infectious melodies and grooves, wrapped up in meaningful stories that will remind you what it means to be alive. Full of joy, sorrow, reflection and maturity, think Elton John in a bumper car with Ben Folds and John Mayer.

Album Notes
This is Allister Bradley's third album release, made up of songs written to reflect the thoughts that go through his head on any given day. Self-produced, and recorded over a long period at three different studios (The Barber Shop Studios in Hopatcong, New Jersey; VNG Productions in Guelph, Ontario; and Bradley's own Left Side Studio in Kitchener, Ontario), this release marks not only a maturity in Allister's songwriting, but also in his production style.

From the catchy opening track, "I Win", to the closing piano-vocal-orchestral "Stealing Back the Time", these songs are rich with character and story. They are at times intensely emotional, other times infused with infectious grooves, and every song has its own personality that is both familiar and unique.

Recorded with the help of Bradley's live band (Adam Bowman on drums, Matthew Lima on bass, Dave Thompson on guitars and Allister Bradley on keys), the album flows through rhythmic, harmonic and melodic territories that inspire musicians and music lovers alike. It is oddly appealing to an extremely wide range of listeners - a 2011 performance in The Bahamas earned Bradley new fans from ages 6 to 65 - because the music doesn't hide behind fashionable beats or arrangements. Instead it is a collection of songs that are honestly written and performed with a sense of respect for the audience.
