Album Notes
Alyssa Bradley is an 18-year-old singer / songwriter / musician and independent recording artist who has been writing songs for almost 3 years. Exploring music from an early age, Alyssa began to develop as a musician and singer by playing songs from her favorite band Switchfoot. She has been playing her own music live in some capacity for the past 4 years. Though from a rural town in Southwestern Ohio, she has taken full advantage of opportunities to play locally in coffee shops, concerts, and other local venues. She has written almost 100 sets of lyrics and nearly 50 complete songs. "Small Town" is a 5-song EP of original music written in the past year and was produced by Matt Haupt.

Alyssa constantly pushes the boundaries of creativity and yet couples that with solid songwriting structure. Her pure voice, honest lyrics, and unique style reveal much about who she is as an artist. She is not afraid to risk tackling both everyday and complex issues common and near to the average person’s heart. She has learned the value of collaborating with other artists and is a quick study, picking up new insight as she grows.

Alyssa constantly exercises her gift of writing and creating music on both the acoustic guitar and the piano, as well as vocally. This summer she also recorded an additional song titled "I'll Wait", which can be found on her other music site. This particular song was recorded with Charlie Peacock and Richie Biggs, the producers of Switchfoot, Anberlin and Paramore.

Alyssa’s earliest influences were Switchfoot, Michelle Branch, Avril Lavigne, and Lifehouse. As her tastes have broadened, her influences include the likes of Damien Rice, Dave Barnes, Jon McLaughlin, Norah Jones, Boys Like Girls, The Fray, Matt Kearney, Paramore, Augustana, Dashboard Confessional, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, and more. Alyssa’s unique style has flavors of Alternative, Rock, Indie, Acoustic, Pop and Country throughout it. Some have compared her to Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift, Regina Spektor, and others.
