Michael Amante, world-renowned recording artist, took the world by storm with his debut album, released on Medalist records. It has become one of the best-selling recordings of its kind, placing him #1 on Billboard Magazine’s 2002 Year-End Top Classical Midline chart.
Michael Amante’s PBS special entitled “Michael Amante” received a regional Emmy Award nomination. Singing since the tender age of five, Amante is gifted with a greater than fouroctave range. Amante’s latest album “Ready For More”, released on September 7th, 2007. The album includes some of Amante’s dearest romantic tunes, including a original song by Michael’s Music Director and song writer Herb Bernstein. Also featured on this album will be America’s romantic tenor, Michael Amante, performing a special duet, “It’s Impossible”, with the late great Sergio Franchi, who has been called “One of the greatest Romantic, Popular Tenors of the 20th Century.

Amante is considered one of the most versatile and gifted performers able to sing in variety of languages including, Italian, Spanish, Polish, French, German and Latin. He also regularly records and performs in a vast array of styles including Classical, Italian Art, Pop/Rock, Gospel and Broadway with a flair, finesse and finely crafted artistry that puts this virtuoso vocalist firmly in his own class.

Amante has performed for countless dignitaries including former U.S. Presidents Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, the late Pope John Paul II, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and other ambassadors. Luciano Pavarotti suggested that Michael Amante sing for one of his own engagements. Amante performs to sold-out audiences across the country including New York’s Lincoln Center, Heinz Hall in Philadelphia and a vast number of major venues seating 1000 to 8000 attendees. He performs in Las Vegas for the Stardust Casino and Caesar’s Palace. He headlines at The Tropicana and The Sands Casino in Atlantic City and Connecticut’s Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. Among his many television appearances; “Live with Regis Philbin”, ABC’s “The View”, “The Best Damn Sports Show, Period,” “Fox 5 Morning Show,” “The Tony Danza Show” and “Emeril Live.” He also performs for a myriad of nationally televised sporting events and at major stadiums throughout the country including Shea Stadium, Giants Stadium, Camden Yards, Foxborough Field, the Belmont Park Raceway, and the US Open. Amante also performs at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Amante followed his debut album with “Tell Her I Love Her.” Released on BMG/Victor Records, this album is a blend of song styling that reflects the fun, romantic music Amante excels at performing in his concerts. “Tell Her I Love Her” produced by the legendary Phil Ramone. Amante also joins forces with composing greats Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil on the cocomposition “Last Morning Of My Life,” one of two tracks showcasing Amante’s emerging talent as a songwriter. Together with his music director/conductor, the distinguished songwriter/producer/arranger Herb Bernstein (Walking My Cat Named Dog, See You In September, Go Away Little Girl, Wedding Bell Blues, Candida, Knock Three Times), Amante produced his third and most personal release “Humbled.” This work of love is in tribute to the music and careers of Gospel greats Steve Green and Larnelle Harris, in whom Michael found great inspiration. “Michael is the best performer I’ve conducted.” Says Bernstein, “He consistently wins over his audience night after night receiving standing ovations not only after but during a performance.” Bernstein has recorded with Tina Turner, Al Hirt, Tony Orlando, Frankie Valli, and John Denver – and has conducted orchestras from the Tonight Show to Caesar’s Palace and Carnegie Hall.

Amante relaxes by using his gourmet chef talents for friends. His recipes have been published in “Pasta” Magazine. Amante is a talented and accomplished fine artist creating artwork for music recordings and works of literature. Painting, illustrating, sculpting, and carpentry round out the extended creative gifts of this most renowned artist.
