ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I knew I wanted to play music from a young age. Singing and dancing were a couple of my favorite activities as a child, and I joined a chorus as soon as I was old enough to do so. I had my first guitar lesson at the age of 13, and I was hooked. I grew up listening to 60s music, including the Beatles, the Monkees, the Mamas and the Papas, the Byrds, and many others. Although I didn’t write my first real song until I was in my 30s, the desire has always been there. The folk/rock influence has been there for a long time, and I long to make music that moves and inspires people. I use experiences from my life and those around me to mold ideas and try to convey a universal theme.

All songs are written by myself. I have been influenced by many artists, including the 60s artists mentioned before. Also by Leonard Cohen, David Roth, Sloan Wainwright, Michael Nesmith, and many pop and country artists. It is hard to classify what my music is besides original.
