Album Notes
This is Amber's 2005 EP for the songs Phantom, Renalyzing and Box. These three songs are deeply important to her and very representative of this last year. Although Renalyzing (just piano and vocal, one take live) and Box are still true to Amber's piano rock core, Phantom is the beginning of her branch out into guitar.
Amber is currently a 19 year old sophomore Philosophy/International Studies major at Northwestern University near Chicago. However, she is originally from a suburb outside of Seattle and is deeply influenced by the rich musical culture of her home and family. She hopes to spread her music relationship to relationship and provide honest raw music for her audience as much as possible this year. This EP is a preview for Amber's second full album, coming in December: "No More Boxes." Look out for her upcoming music and hit her website to join her community and read more about Amber.

A wide range stylistically with driving genuineness
The Phantom EP showcases Amber's multifaceted abilities, both instrumentally and vocally. The song "Phantom" has a harsh, jaded tone that is astounding for Amber's age. This is a sharp contrast to "Reanalyzing" which has a passionate delivery, like an angel grieving.
In addition to the honesty in Amber's voice, she writes of deep truths. She offers keen insight into the human condition and transmits these observations effectively into verse through the use of inventive imagery. Her music is an exemplary marriage of lyrics, accompaniment and a beautifully haunting voice.
