Album Notes
Founder of Empty Beach Records, and Gold record songwriter, Amos Galpin, has compiled a CD of his own work. Cameo appearances by mentors, Peter Cetera and Steve Miller spark the tunes, and bring them to another level. Peter Cetera adds his signature harmonies to "You'll Go", and plays bass on "Dreaming of Bones". Steve Miller plays lead guitar on the blues-style "Down on the Town". Long-time friend / bandmate / instrument-maker, Fletcher Brock, plays the mandolin lead and fills on "You'll Go". Check out his instruments on First recording as a drummer at a division of Decca Records in Boston in 1965 (see the CD sleeve), the Ha'pennys record became a collectors item in Japan. Amos went on to make recording his career, building the studio, Mountain Beach in 1983, and founding Empty Beach Records in 1999. The studio recorded basic tracks for Steve Miller's "Italian X-Rays" album, and Amos met Peter Cetera, who was relaxing in Sun Valley during his tour of the world with "Chicago". Peter Cetera became a great friend and teacher, taking a track which became "Big Mistake", the opening cut on Peter's solo gold album, "Solitude/Solitaire". A second album for Amos Galpin is in production now, and new singles will be available as downloads periodically. Rick Fisher at RFI CD Mastering is helping prepare singles for uploads.

this CD is great!
This is CD is packed with songs that get inside you. You will find yourself humming the tune even before you've learned the words. The artist knows how to make his listeners open their hearts, snap their fingers and enjoy themselves. A very special CD.

one of the best CDs I've heard in years
This is the kind of CD you listen to a lot. Full of heart, it is a 20 times on a long drive guaranteed to grow on you. Great vocals, especially by guest artist Peter Cetera and fantastic licks by Steve Miller. Amos Galpin has the talent as a songwriter, musician and recording engineer!
