Album Notes
I wrote Lonesome Picker as a tribute to John Stewart (of the Kingston Trio) in the months after his death in 2008. I grew up listening to his music and his songs were amongst the first I learned to play on the guitar. I love his writing and exposure to his albums at an early age helped to create my love for Americana, folk and acoustic music. I am delighted to have the approval of his widow, Buffy Ford Stewart, for this project and to know that she loves the song.

I was also delighted to have Rob Crocker play mandolin and sing on this track as he was my wonderfully inspiring guitar teacher when I was a teenager. His nephew, James Crocker, (Equation, Tempest) added slide guitar and did the mixing and mastering in California, the very place that John Stewart came from.
