ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is queer punk rock in a latex glove to the shoulder. Our songs range from outright filth to the occasional anti-establishment rant.

The EP has a minimally processed sound that's true to the vibe and energy of Anal Traffic live performances.

Our local street paper Time Off writes:

"Brisbane queer punks Anal Traffic's bold and brash debut is
six slices of power-meets-synth-pop. Nothing's more pure
than a celebration of identity, be it queer, punk or both
together! In these torrid times of fake gay antics at local
indie clubs, it's nice to see that Anal Traffic sing it with
a sense of sincerity and comedy in equal parts. It's
certainly a lot more (lyrically) believable than the queer-
friendly Sailors, though they mine similar territory. Fans
of Pansy Division will enjoy this group immensely. This EP
is a lot of fun, so hunt it down."

The EP opens with "Six Beer Queer", an ode to the queer effects of alcohol. "Daddy's Chocolate Kisses" is sure to leave a strange taste in your mouth and "In Past Your Wrist" is exactly what it sounds like. "Shit 4 Dickheads" is an anthem for the modern consumer, while "Scapegoat" goes straight for the throat. "Two Pumps and a Squirt" is sure to be hummed at urinals everywhere.

Anal Traffic are: Blitz Darfur (vocals), C (bass), Paul Jones (keyboard, vocals), Paul Rollo (vocals), Sam-Sam (drums) and Shane Garvey (guitar).

Amazing EP, Wish it was longer!
The biggest downfall on this CD is that it is too short, with 6 songs and just totalling at around 20 minutes. I know, I know, it is an EP so it isnt a full length album, and it is typical of punk songs to only last 2 - 3 minutes. But this album just leaves you wanting more, with a sound that harkens back to old school British punk bands and lyrics that would make some blush. Every song is well crafted and catchy, the whole album is a lot of fun to listen to, and although it moves in directions that could almost be campy or ridiculous, they manage to keep everything together and prove themsleves as a solid, engaging band. I HIGHLY reccomend this album, with lyrics that will make you smile, an original yet retro sound, and choruses so catchy you will sing in public without realizing it, until you notiice the stares, that is.
