Like a River

by Anna Gilbert

"Like a River" is likely to have you addicted after the first listen. Pure vocals and angsty lyrics collide with music that cuts straight to the heart of loving and losing. This is moody and lyrical pop/rock at its finest

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Anna Gilbert's EP "Like a River" was produced at The Art House in Nashville, TN over the period of one week with just three musicians, one of them Sam Ashworth, who also sat in the producer's seat. Anna Gilbert, Sam Ashworth, and Matt Slocum (Sixpence None the Richer) holed up in a studio for a week and combined their talents and hearts to create some of Anna's best music yet. All of the songs are incredibly vulnerable and honest. Anna's vocals soar over cello, ambient guitar, whimsical piano, and hooky drums that don't quit. Each song adheres to Anna's greatest musical strengths, but also take her in new directions musically and stylistically. This album will not disappoint, but will leave you wanting more.
