Fruition

by Anne Ferbrache

An acoustic melange of folk and bossa nova, this album is both playful and contemplative. Each song is warm, melodically unique, and rhythmically complex. It is akin to The Weepies, Rosie Thomas, an Audrey Assad.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Anne's music is influenced heavily by The Innocence Mission, bossa nova jazz, and Simon and Garfunkel. Since her childhood, she enjoys records of James Talyor, Peter Paul & Mary, The Beatles, Joni Mitchell and church hymnody. While her music carries bits and pieces of each influence, it is a sound unto itself. While composing, Anne attempts to make each song a different color or character through the use of harmony and rhythm.

Anne started composing music at an young age, but took pen to paper in the early 2000s. As she moved around the country , she has enjoyed seeing how her music has become a platform for collaboration. Several of her melodies and lyrics have been co-written, including "Nomad Girl", with Grace Basinger Tuschak. Guest musicians and collaborators for this album are Audrey Felger, Gabriel Thong, Robert Anderson and Emily Thompson. Anne would like to give a huge thank you to Ken Anderson Films, and to technicians/producers, Robert Anderson and Gabriel Thong for giving her this opportunity to make music!
