ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Anne Marie's sixth album, "Snow on Snow" is a solo piano album of 11 songs with reflections of gratitude. Contemplative originals as well as arrangements of familiar melodies such as "Silent Night"and "O Little Town of Bethlehem" are interpreted with grace and beauty, in hopes of bringing listeners to a time of comfort and joy.

Anne Marie David (USA) is a Boston-based pianist and singer/songwriter who has independently released six albums. Her angelic voice and inspired piano playing were apparent in her childhood in rural Minnesota. The third of ten children who accompanied their mother, a parish music leader, David showed her independence in soaring adaptations of church piano standards - a trademark of her early self-produced solo piano albums, which include "The First Morning," "Here I Am, Lord," and "Prayer of St. Francis."

Her 2012 solo piano release "Snow on Snow," interprets classic Thanksgiving and Christmas melodies with her signature piano improvisations and intimate tone. In 2010, David's inspired music reflects her deep love of family in the album "Turning Home," where she collaborates with Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning musician producer, Bill Elliott (Michael Feinstein, Stevie Nicks). She works with the talented acoustic trio of renowned session musicians Duke Levine, Kevin Barry and Mike Rivard. In her 2007 release "Peace Be With You," David captivates with her voice - melding lyrical reflections on peace and hope. Her style of rich, inspirational piano playing and singing soars throughout the album. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, David is the composer of multiple piano scores published by religious presses including Augsburg Fortress Publishers and Abingdon Press. Her broad ministry of liturgical music spans from local to international, from serving as Music Director at her church to performing on CatholicTV, reaching listeners on television and the web. She is a faculty member of Boston College's Summer Institute in the School of Theology and Ministry. David's music has been used in documentary films and can be heard on Whisperings Radio.

Anne Marie David (USA), is a Boston-based pianist and singer/songwriter, not to be confused with the French pop singer of the same name.
