Live

by An On Bast / Maciej Fortuna, An On Bast & Maciej Fortuna

It is a conglomeration of live electronics, mainstream jazz with post-bop roots and the youthful inventiveness of the artists who value their message’s communicativeness over the stiff rules of both basal genres.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
26.05.2013 Premiere of the new album “Live” of the duo An On Bast / Maciej Fortuna.
The album contains recordings of the songs from the two exceptional concerts of 2012. The first concert was dedicated to the eminent Polish jazz trumpeter Andrzej Przybielski. The event took place at the club Pianola in Bydgoszcz, exactly one year and one month after his death (the last track on the album is the electro track impression of Andrzej Przybielski’s ‘Afro Blue II’). The second concert was recorded in the magnificent interior of Synagouge Pod Białym Bocianem (White Stork Synagogue) in Wrocław during the Ambient Festival in December 2012.
For both artists, this album is unique because, as they have emphasized since the beginning of the project, their music is the most radiant during their concerts. On the album can be heard several energetic compositions, downtempo music, lots of atmospheric, ambient’s melodies, on which a great influence had the places and circumstances accompanying live recording material.
