ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Another Round is a rock band based out of Oklahoma City, OK and is heavily entrenched within the local scene as well as hitting the road for out-of-state gigs. Their music can only be described by synergy. The parts come together to create something greater than they ever could have been alone. Everything ebbs and flows together while still maintaining a balance and working in complete harmony. Their seemingly very different qualities and musical tastes should logically create chaos, but instead a new genre of music has emerged. Some like to call it Blues Metal, but most are astounded how it sounds so familiar, yet so new and creative. Whether that is an apt description, or not, we will let you be the judge.

Daniel Aguirre, the lead singer, hails from California and is the only member of the band not originally from Oklahoma. He recently joined the band, and ever since they have been moving faster and faster in the right direction. His singing ability can be compared to Maynard of Tool or Shawn Morgan of Seether, but his voice is all his own and is soaring to new heights with Another Round.

Trey Rollins is the drummer who is the heartbeat of this rock band. Trey is a big guy, and he can smash some drums. Anything you want in a drummer, he’s got it. All night long, he delivers the pounding beats with the scintillating sounds of the snare and cymbals to his own unique form of how a drummer, “takes it to the paint”, if there is such a thing. If a drummer exists who can, it’s Trey. And right there with him, Brannon Testerman plays bass to match the beats of the bass drum with the melody of the six-strings. He is the most recent member, but has known the guys in the band for a very long time.

Travis Scott and Matt Hudson are the guitar players. Travis plays rhythm when Matt is playing lead, unless Matt is playing rhythm, then, of course, Travis plays lead. They have known each other for a lifetime and started playing guitar around the same time. Now they write the songs for Another Round, and they have done very well, indeed. In case you are wondering the difference between them when you are attending a show, Travis looks like Jesus and Matt wears his sunglasses at night. All joking aside, these two have some of the best licks, riffs, and hooks in the business. Travis is into metal rhythms, fast-picking, some heavy distortion, clean and even acoustic sounds, and Matt likes playing soulful blues riffs and smooth accents on some heavy distortion and writing licks that make you want to dance or break something. Travis and Matt embody the dualistic soul of Another Round. While they seem so different, it comes together almost as if it were destiny.

So, if you haven’t already, I suggest you check out my good friends, Another Round. They will be here for years to come because fame and fortune may come and go, but if the music is good enough, it can live forever.
