ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Downsize" is one end result of my development as a song writer over the years through the expert guidance of our North Atlanta chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International. Kathy Jernigan and Gary McCoy have been both instructional and inspirational as our facilitators. Under their encouragement and guidance, it has been possible for me to continue to pursue my writing music.

But where does this music ultimately come from? I sit down with my guitar, paper and pencil, and begin by strumming some new chord progressions or employing a technique learned in our monthly NSAI meetings. It might be a new tune that emerges, or a lyric idea that writes itself onto the paper before me.

"There are no coincidences, only Divine guidance." This quote was taken from my daughter, Karla and I truly believe that any talent that I have is God-given. Sometimes a poetic line seems to miraculously pop out of my head and as I write it down i wonder where it came from. It is then that Rush Linbaugh's line, "Talent on loan from God," and Karla's quote reaches a true meaning for me.

My friends who have heard "Downsize" love the lyric and it's timely message. I hope that you will agree. Enjoy!
