ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
For Antonia, music is about service -- to God and to those whose lives might be changed by the power of a song. Every note is given freely, with nothing asked in return other than a willingness to open one's heart and listen. It is the most generous of gifts, and the easiest to receive … because singing came to Antonia only after her own heart had opened to God. Its value lies not in the promise of fame, but in its power to touch others as it has touched her.

Antonia has a unique multicultural background. She was born in Manchester, England, her parents are from Jamaica and she was raised in Canada. She now resides in the United States with her husband, David and family. She enrolled into Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and this is where her ministry began and where she discovered the gift God had given to her. As Antonia grew in the knowledge of God, so did her talent as singer, songwriter and worship leader.

Her music reflects her multicultural background through the diversity of styles, mixed with lyrics that capture God word for today’s generation. On every track on her CD, Free To Be Me, she displays her range of style from Hip-hop, silky R&B ballads, sophisticated jazz, Antonia's brilliantly expressive original songs, with the ever-present spirit of praise, worship, and celebration. Antonia has worked with people as diverse as producer David Sanguinetti, known for his work with Beenie Man, Degree, and other reggae masters, such as former Christafari member, Marky Rage, who produced the song “On Our Side”. The ministry of Antonia has blessed many people. United in their recognition of her ministry, people such as Dennis Fedoruk, founder and head of the Brainy Baby children's media company, who was inspired by the comfort that Antonia's music had provided in difficult times; came together to help bring Free to Be Me to life. Antonia has recorded six projects over the years including a recent Christmas project called “The Ultimate Gift”. She also played a part in the musical play “It’s a Wonderful Life, Mr. Bailey” directed by Abe Clark.

Antonia’s music reflects her multicultural flair through the diversity of styles, mixed with lyrics that capture Gods word for today’s generation with a unique blend of contemporary, gospel, urban, island and jazz styles! She has worked with such organizations as the Children’s Miracle Network, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Hosea Williams-Feed the Hungry and Unite Atlanta. She has worked with some of the leading artists in the field, such as Ron Kenoly, Alvin Slaughter, LaMar Boschman, Darlene Zchech of Australia, Isreal Houghton, Babbie Mason, and lead worship for events such as Reinhart Bonke Crusade in Atlanta; Anne Graham Lotz, Julie Baker of TimeOut for Women; John Maxwell’s Women’s conference, “Thrive”. She has traveled as far as England, Brazil, the Caribbean Islands, and beyond, on a wide range of music and worship projects. At home, she serves as Choir Director and Worship Leader for a congregation of about four thousand at the Victory World Church in Norcross and works with In Touch Ministries with Dr. Charles Stanley.

Antonia’s greatest passion is to worship God and to lead others into His presence, so they can freely express their hearts to God, and be refreshed and renewed in His presence. Her newest project “Global Hallelujah” includes a live DVD/ CD recorded at Victory World Church in Norcross, GA. With original songs and energetic praise and worship, the purpose of this project is to ignite a passion for worship and missions, the calling of every believer. The goal is to communicate the message of Christ through a cross-cultural style of music and to display the unity in Christ as we join together with believers of many cultures to worship the Lord. This project was released June 2006 and distributed by MDL Music Group or Atlanta.
