ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 2003 Jackpott Records began work on their inaugural project “Tha Paypa Work” by The ARKYVZ, (pronounced archives). From inception it was Jackpott’s goal to fuse “hungry” new artists with already proven producers such as K-Lou (Mater P, Mystical, Snoop Dogg), Happy P(Fat Joe, Terror Squad, Baby Bash), Tone Capone (2Pac, Scarface, E-40, and the sizzling Jackpott in house producer Nasty Nes.

The ARKYVZ underground smash single “Family Thang” featuring Universal’s recording artist Baby Bash, (of Suga-Suga fame), became an instant street anthem in the summer of 2002 without the help of commercial radio airplay. Tha Paypa Work was met with great reviews. “Recognizing the game of this-up-and-coming West Coast Latino rap group” Lowrider Magazine, September 2002.
