Album Notes
Armand St. Martin's sizzling New Orleans piano-style brightly colors this upbeat tune about a girl's love-interest only being piqued if the guy "goes down to El Paso to get a pair of cowboy boots!" It's the kind of hit songwriting that deserves radio airplay all across the Lone Star State, especially in the southwest Texas town of El Paso, where in actuality his wife/ manager, Patty Lee was born and raised, and was a DJ in the late 1960's. St. Martin began his musical career in clubs of New Orleans when he was 16 years old, and continues to be going strong with his extraordinary musical talents and fine songwriting skills, along with his SRO performances as the lead singer in his 7-piece band, Armand St. Martin and his Bayou Bohemians which recorded this song for the CD, "Sizzlin'." Patty Lee's mother (Armand St. Martin's mother-in-law) graces this cover art, a real sharpshooter she was! Armand St. Martin colorized this black and white photo which was taken in El Paso, which became the cover of Last Time in Texas, a one-song-CD.
