My Sweet Valentine

by Aron Celnik

Who hasn’t been consumed by the incredible rush of infatuation, and the pain of unrequited love for someone who once ignited our passions? Brilliant songs have been written about the experience: Johnny Mercer’s “I Remember You,” Carlos Jobim’s “Girl from Ipanema,” and Eric Clapton’s “Layla,” are just a few that come to mind. My hope is that this song, “My Sweet Valentine,” will also stir your emotions, and provoke your mind back to that bittersweet time when nothing else mattered but to satisfy your almost unbearable desires.

Album Notes
My music is meant to touch your soul and to excite your senses. I know that this is a difficult thing to accomplish, but it is my goal nonetheless. Nothing compares to the innate desire to express ourselves musically; whether it’s whistling or humming a tune, singing in the shower, playing an instrument, or just enjoying others play their music and sing their songs. Music has a profound affect on our mood, our behavior, and has the power to transcend cultural and ethnic differences.

My music has many influences; from classical to jazz, from folk music to pop and rock and roll. I'm a product of all the wonderful songwriters from years gone by, and I'm grateful for all their work. I'm also grateful to the wonderful producer/arranger/composer, Steve Bernstein, for helping to bring my work to life. Also, I must express my gratitude to my patient and sensitive engineers, Robert Irving and Tim Bryson, who helped to make me sound the best that I could possibly be.
