ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Master Percussionist and Composer Arturo Stable strike again with another Gem on his fifth album as a leader: "Cuban Crosshatching." As established on previous releases, Stable delivers amazing compositional chops, good taste and a wide variety of rhythms and percussion sounds from all over the world. His sophisticated rhythmic approach emanates fluently between Loueke's magical touch and Blake's ferocious jazz rooted solos.

On Cuban Crosshatching, Stable touches new ground as instrumentalist, performing most of the album on an eclectic and unique percussion set up that includes instruments of his own creation. The different textures and his clever interaction with the rest of the band create a very pleasant sonic experience where elements from his native Cuba, American jazz and world music co-exist in perfect harmony.

Personal:
Arturo Stable - Percussions and compositions
Lionel Loueke - Guitars
Seamus Blake - Sax
Edward Perez - Bass
Magos herrera - Vocals
