ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It's been a long time waiting for fans of A.C.E. to listen to the debut album from their much loved Kiwi popsters. But as they say in New Zealand, "longer the wait the better the white bait" and that's certainly true here. Quirky humorous pop n roll! Atlantic City Expressway say they're are influenced by Ranginui sky father to Whakapapa earth mother and everything in between. We'll that's one way to sum up the fun world of Atlantic City Expressway but listening to this debut album will take you floating back to some of the colorful memories, romantic moments, summertime anthems, quirky, humorous pop n roll that kicked Little Richard, The Beatles, Beach Boys, 10cc, XTC, The Beastie Boys in to the subconscious of their listeners and secured to place in time, a small moment in the history of popular music.

John says when asked about the life to date of Atlantic City Expressway, "We recorded an album 10 years ago in Geoff's Volkswagen van and split up shortly after because we were sick of people thinking DJs were da bomb. Two years ago we were playing lawns bowls when Trev said "What about that album we recorded 8 years ago?" and we fell about laughing before saying in unison "That's our Trev!" and we knew he'd done the math. We pulled the album out of my bum, recorded an extra track and sent the whole thing to the CD polishers. The moral of this story kids is thank nobody, rely on yourself"."
