ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Unlocked door in abandoned car leads to other world"

"When Neil Chapman and Tony Duggan-Smith, two founding members of the legendary cult band Pukka Orchestra, teamed up with TV/film music composer/songwriter Russell Walker, it was alchemy . AUTOCONDO was created".

"Marrying their post-apocalyptic sensibilities to themes of intrigue, burnout and love, AUTOCONDO are the pass key to another World... one where hurt never felt so good"

All three songwriters of AUTOCONDO have been signed to international record deals in the past with bands including Neotone, New Regime and the Pukkas. Neil has been busy playing and touring with Zedhead and Buffy Ste Marie, Tony making exotic guitars with Linda Manzer and songwriting with Alannah Myles. Russ and Tony have written songs for the "The Border" TV series as well as other shows and films.

Alanah Myles

Recording Artist at Large
Writing a review on Autocondo was an effortless task, made more easy with the profound respect and admiration I share for the work of it's collaborators Tony Duggan Smith Neil Champman and Russ Walker whom I have had the great pleasure of working with on my own records.

This CD conjures for me similarities to my favourite Fleetwood Mac albums with a touch of Neil Young in some of the vocals and hints of Bob Dylan's phrasing, my favourite being the last track, Saw The Light (Reprise), a second version of the same song sung by it's collaboarator Sue Breit who charms us with her delivery which is as pure sounding as early Joni Michell or Sarah Mclaughlin.

All in all this is a stellar recording worthy of repeated listens!

Autocondo Nails A New Version Of Modern Folk Funk + A Cool Rock Beat!
Autocondo Nails A New Version Of Modern Folk Funk + A Cool Rock Beat!

This is one of the coolest, grooviest cd's I've had the pleasure of listening to in a long time.... The track paralyzed has me absolutely mesmerized by the lyrics and addicted to the beat - I Love it!!!

It's like Niel Diamond crossed with the Traveling Wilbury's, but for the 2010 intellect savvy, music affectionato.

Another interesting little bonus is the depth of the personal development (a la Anthony Robbins, Bob Proctor, or Brian Tracey) combined with introspective psychological messages in the form of lyrical musings, that can really get ya thinking about things!

Finally, I love the fact that I can actually hear and understand the lyrics - which is not true for so much of the stuff out there today.

This is CD is a winner & the Paralyzed Track is simply Awesome!

Buy it - you'll love it!

Autocondo
A wonderful CD, seriously playful.

Terry Brown

Producer
First of all I should tell you that I mixed 3 tunes on this CD, but there are twelve in all on the CD and the more I listen to them the more depth pours from these well written tunes. The arrangements are very contemporary, but the overall feel of the album has a cool pop edge mixed with the distinctly different vocal stylings of Russ Walker Neil Chapman and Tony Duggan-Smith.
My picks are 'Wits End' and 'Evolution'

Last American Auto Plant in Georgia to Close This Week - 09/22/08
A GM plant with a more than 60 year history will be closing its doors at the end of this week. The plant in Doraville, Georgia has been operating for 61 years and will lay off 1000 workers. GM has slowly slashed jobs at the plant, it previously employed 3,100. The closure of the plant also marks the end of an era for Georgia. The Doraville plant is the last American auto assembly plant in the state. The remaining 1000 workers can take a buyout, enter the company’s job bank and wait for a new job to open up or move to another GM plant.

very impressed
I ordered it after loving 'Paralyzed' at first listen, and the other tracks are all just as brilliant. Nice work!

You will love it
Sometimes you tend to value higher the distant artists simply because of common mis-perception. Not this time! After listening to the CD for the first time it got to me right on. You can hear some dylanesque or beatlesque here, but beyond some slight similarity it is never a steal. Very consistent CD reminding of those conceptual album days. Catchy vocal and melody hooks and a tasteful guitar work. 'Cry Baby Cry' cover nicely compliments overall quality without overshadowing the rest songs. Solid studio post-production of a rock quality in low- to mid- frequency ranges, and guitar and organ solos easily cut through. Graphic design is resonant with the audio. Bottom line - I highly recommend buying this CD!
