ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Path EP features 3 new AVIAN songs plus an acoustic version of The Fear. Two of the songs on The Path EP, The Path, and When The Night's Undone, will be featured on AVIAN's next album, Midnight At The Tower, to be released in mid-2011. The other two tracks, S.S. (Instrumental), and The Fear (Acoustic), are exclusive to the EP and WILL NOT be featured on the next album.

The Path features AVIAN's new singer Brian Hollenbeck whom is taking over for Lance King. Brian and Lance have very similar vocal styles which makes for a smooth transition.

Great EP from Avian!
I’ve been a fan of Avian since the release of their first album From the Depths of Time, so naturally I looked forward to hearing The Path EP. Since the vocals are an important part of a band’s sound, I wondered how the change in singers would affect the band. But new vocalist Brian Hollenbeck’s voice and style are similar enough to Lance King’s that there really wasn’t a big change to the band’s sound. This EP has everything that I’d expect from Avian: great vocals, melodies, and guitar riffs. The first two tracks, “The Path” and “When the Night’s Undone”, will be on the forthcoming album Midnight at the Tower. The title track is the kind of song that I love to sing along to, which for me is always a sign that I really like a song. Both songs definitely make me look forward to the new album. The EP also includes an instrumental, “S.S.” and a nice acoustic version of “The Fear.” I highly recommend this EP!
