ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Axxed Asylum is a project / concept created by Paul AT Kinson, (Skyclad, Jess Cox Band, Secret Sam, Battleaxe), out of a desire to deliver powerful rock music in the style of Accept, Saxon and Judas Priest ...with a twist of symphonic rock.

After spending 2010 and most of 2011 writing and recording with 80s Heavy Metal Band Battleaxe, dealing with the stress over production and deals, Paul finally decided to take control of his own music when the Legions Unite album was delayed.

The line-up for Axxed Asylum is a collective of great players but with one voice, that of Roddy BVevino, with an album entiled ‘The Alternative Weapon’ planned for 2013.

"I just wanted to get some of my own music out there because at the end of 2011, after a year and a half, the Battleaxe album seemed to be grinding to a halt. The music I have written for Battleaxe is still there and will feature on the new album 'Heavy Metal Sanctuary', but I also wanted to do my songs my way, so some of them will feature on Axxed Asylum releases with a different twist.

The name Axxed Asylum basically sums up my years with Battleaxe.....sometimes like being in a lunatic asylum... Though I have great affection for Battleaxe, we've been through a lot together, I like to do other things as well, so Axxed Asylum is for my metal music.
