Poinum Cherem

by Babylon Mystery Orchestra

The notorious "Prophet Of Wrath" comes through with perhaps his most provocative statement yet as to The United States of Mystery Babylon and her well earned, Biblically prophecized reward. ...aggressive message with an equally aggressive musical score.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 79 AD during the final days of Pompeii a baker, believed to be a Christian, carved into the wall of his home the words POINIUM CHEREM. These words have stood for 2000 years as the final words of that dying civilization. Words that are ripe with symbolism...and judgement.
Now, in the year 2012, Babylon Mystery Orchestra reaches back through history to reclaim these same words as a last warning to another dying civilization...do you dare to hear them?

Babylon Mystery Orchestra's New Masterpiece - "Poinium Cherem"!
*edit*
Poinium Cherem
Babylon Mystery Orchestra
2012
*****

In case you are among the few who have not yet heard of the Christian Goth/Rock band Babylon Mystery Orchestra, allow me to introduce you. BMO is the product of mastermind and musical genius, Sidney Allen Johnson. Babylon Mystery Orchestra came to be in 2002. In addition to founding BMO, Sidney plays all the instruments, writes all the lyrics, and designs the beautiful, informative liner notes that accompany the CDs.

The sixth album, Poinium Cherem, is no exception. Sidney pulls no punches when boldly proclaiming the perilous times we find ourselves in today in American society. In fact, Poinium Cherem is a reference to the fallen city of Pompeii as it relates to the downward spiral we as a nation are now rapidly descending.

“Devilution” is a powerful track, addressing the lie-taught-as-fact in the public schools, known as the theory of evolution. “The Affliction” is a direct hit to the immorality that the present culture not only accepts, but believes to be good! “Destroyer” is another depiction of man being deceived by the father of lies. “Seething,” one of my personal favorites on this album, takes on the sin of homosexuality and calls it out as such- sin. “Apollyon” describes exactly who is behind the direction we are going today: the adversary, the man of perdition himself. “Another Path” speaks of the great lie still being spread to this day: that there are many paths to God and Heaven.

The CD, as a whole, is well written and produced. Sidney once again stays true to both his style as well as his influences. On Poinium Cherem you will hear good riffs, solid rock rhythms, and traditional BMO vocals as only he can create. You will enjoy this album if you enjoy earlier artists of rock such as KISS and AC/DC combined with a bold message congruent with the Bible. Sidney has a way of expressing the tenets of the faith in a deep, profound manner. I would give Poinium Cherem five out of five stars.

Great product, BMO!
