ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Window on the West is a powerful collection of a dozen instrumental pieces. The project is a spirited, eclectic expression of the composer's years on the road and in the studio. The tracks, performed primarily by Bach on the piano and other keyboards, also feature electric and acoustic guitars, saxophone, Native American flutes, drums, percussion, and bass. Composition, performance, and production values are extremely high, prompting glowing endorsements from The Washington Post, USA Today, and others . The album was produced by Bach and engineered by Frank Marchand.

~ "An impeccable self-produced album...shimmering and refreshing." (Washington Post)

~ The song "Window on the West" is being played on over 200 college radio stations.

~ You can tune into BET television's popular broadcast Jazz Discovery and see them perform the song "After the Fire".

~ Voted "Best Instrumental Band" (Music Monthly Magazine Readers Poll)

~ "Window on the West is a tasteful mix of smooth jazz and introspective instrumentals...Upbeat, relaxing, and invigorating..." (WTMD-FM Baltimore, MD)

David Bach has an instrumental style that really grabs and hooks you. Played with a rare know how which is something not so common today in releases. The music is unique enough to give the tunes their own place on the street, but familiar enough to be accessible to the ears. The music speaks for itself in great, listenable fashion that you're likely not going to hear too often.
A CD worth playing repeatedly! Melodic, well-crafted music with staying power. From the first cut to the last, this is one solid outing. If you 're looking for the next big thing...check out what David Bach is up to!

Soundclick Review:
David Bach has long been known as a talented behind-the-scenes musician. Playing keyboards on many recordings (including recent tracks for Janet Jackson and Everything But The Girl), touring with Enrique Ilesias, or co-composing a Gold Record (with Chrystal Waters on "Is It For Me?") had kept David Bach busy. But now he took some time off to compose his first solo album 'Window on the West'. His motive was "to fall in love with music again" (Bach), and it's easy for the listener to share this feeling. His debut album is called 'Window on the West', and the view offers a bright landscape of emotions and style elements. Based on "new world jazz", the album is a powerful collection of a dozen instrumental pieces. The project is a spirited, eclectic expression of the composer's years on the road and in the studio. The tracks, performed primarily by Bach on the piano and other keyboards, also feature electric and acoustic guitars, saxophone, Native American flutes, drums, percussion, and bass. Composition, performance, and production values are extremely high, prompting glowing endorsements from Kit Watkins, Sanjay Mishra, and other musical peers.
'Window on the West' is not only composed and produced by David Bach, this flawless production was also recorded at his home studio. What might sound like a disadvantage to others, turned out to be an advantage to the production, and eventually led to the album's "organic vibe". This vibe certainly hits the right spot with the listener. The latest evidence might be that the first track taken from the album climbed to the top of SoundClick's Jazz charts after only two weeks.
