ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Named "Panaha" (Drum Goddess), Sue felt a connection to Mother’s rhythm as a child. She has played the drums professionally for over 30 years, and has been teaching music since 1977. As the drummer for the band Burning Sage, Sue has shared billings with many talented artists including Rusted Root, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Hot Tuna, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), Gaelic Storm, and best selling author Wayne Dyer. She has performed with international artists Drum Play and Grammy nominee Peter Janson, and has presented hand drumming workshops at magickal events throughout the country. Sue also created a hand drumming CD “Primal Rhythm 1” that has received ongoing national recognition. In 2008 three songs from "Primal Rhythm 1" were selected for the soundtrack of the PBS film "The Return of the Cuyahoga," which chronicles how the burning of the Cuyahoga River in the 1960's thrust the environmental movement forward and led to the creation of the Clean Water Act. The film was shown nationally on PBS.

Amazingly Talented Drummer
I took a hand drumming class with Sue at a festival a couple years ago. That is what started me on my own drumming journey. She is a great instructor! And, what am amazing talent!! I bought her first CD and love it. This one is even better!
