ABOUT JULIANA BARRIOS:

Born and raised in Cali, Colombia.

In 1989, she obtained a degree in professional Music in Berklee College of Music in Boston.

After graduating, she went back to Colombia and started
a career as singer, songwriter and actress.
She belonged to the Colombian music group “Propiedad Pública”, and sang popular soap opera themes like “La Otra Mitad del Sol”, “Perro Amor” and “Porqué Diablos”. She was part of the cast in the musical show “Sorprendidas II”, the television comedy “Las Marias”, and the soap opera “Perro Amor” in this one she was the singer and songwriter of the soundtrack named “Los Boxeadores de La Salsa”.
She was the vocal coach for the reality show, “Pop Stars”.

Today she lives in Miami and has written songs for Latin artists such as: Sasha, Manny Manuel, Jaci Velasquez, among others. Later on, she paired up with singer songwriter Jorge Luis Chacín. They collaborated and sang the main theme for Telemundo’s soap opera: “Anita No Te Rajes”. Together they formed the duo “BACHÁ” and got nominated to the Latin Grammy Awards 2005, in the category of “Best Contemporary Tropical Album”.

Nació y creció en Cali, Colombia.

En 1989, se graduó en Música Profesional en Berklee College Of Music
En Boston.

Después de graduarse, regresó a Colombia donde inició una carrera como
Cantante, compositora y actríz.
Perteneció al grupo “Propiedad Pública” y cantó los temas de presentación
De novelas como: “La Otra Mitad del Sol”, Perro Amor, y Porqué Diablos.
Hizo parte del elenco del musical “Sorprendidas II”, de la comedia de television “Las Marías” y de la novela “perro Amor”, en ésta hizo parte de la banda Sonora de la novela “Los Boxeadores De La Salsa” como compositora y cantante.
Fué la instructora vocal para el reality show “Pop Stars”.

Hoy vive en Miami y a escrito canciones para cantantes latinos como Sasha, Manny Manuel, Jaci velasquez, entre otros.
Con el Cantautor Jorge Luis Chacín compuso e interpretó el tema de la novela “Anita No Te Rajes” y mas tarde formaron el duo “BACHÁ” el cual fué nominado a los Grammy Latinos 2005, en la categoría de “Mejor Álbum Tropical Contemporáneo
